Switching agent is easier than you think

Most landlords stay with the wrong agent because they assume switching is complicated. It isn’t. We handle the entire transition — you just confirm you want to move.

Your notice period — know your rights

Most management agreements require one month's written notice. Some agents use aggressive lock-in clauses that individual landlords are protected against under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If your current agreement looks unusual, we'll review it for you — free of charge.

Your tenants stay put — nothing changes for them

Switching agent does not affect your tenants' security of tenure, their rent, or their day-to-day experience. We contact your tenants professionally, introduce ourselves, and ensure continuity of service. From their perspective, it's simply a change of contact details.

Your deposits are handled correctly

Deposits held by your current agent are transferred to our TDS Custodial scheme with written consent from both you and your tenant. We issue new Prescribed Information to all tenants within the statutory 30-day window — a legal requirement that many agents miss at handover. We don't.

We do the heavy lifting

We request keys, compliance documents, rent history, and outstanding correspondence directly from your outgoing agent. We compile your full compliance file before we take over — so we know exactly where your portfolio stands from day one, not week four.

There is never a perfect time to switch. But with the Renters’ Rights Act now in effect, there is a deadline that’s already passed for many.
